Mistie Cottrill current passion is guiding and motivating other women, men and their families on their personal journeys toward health, fitness and balance. She’s much more than the sum of her accomplishments or credentials: Ironman, military spouse, mechanical engineer, Olympic and Sprint distance triathlon winner, telecommuting MBA & business consultant, accomplished yogi, personal trainer & nutrition coach.
“I want to show families how wonderful it can be to live a fit, healthy lifestyle, and how they can balance it in their own busy lives.”
Mistie’s background in fitness goes back to age-group swimming and soccer, which bloomed into a successful run as a Division I collegiate swimmer. The dedication to health and fitness demanded by her collegiate program taught Mistie just how important those things are, and what it takes to achieve them for herself and for others, a lesson she redefined through Ironman Lake Placid in 2013. These days she’s most at home while mixing enjoyment with exertion, a formula that she believes “takes years of experimentation in a variety of outdoor laboratories to perfect.”
Many families struggle with nutrition and exercise because they are trying to balance their home and work/school lives. Mistie offers fun, motivating coaching to help teach families how they can achieve that balance. She focuses on promoting better health through nutrition and lifestyle changes, providing recommendations for combining good nutriton with physical activity. In her coaching she offers tips and tricks for Nutrition and Fitness On the Go, Family Friendly Recipes, Conquering the Grocery Store, Nutriton for Young Athletes, Meal Time Makeovers, and many more challenges common in the lives of busy families. She can also customize a program for your family, team or work place!
